Hi, my name is Jesper Rasmussen. I was born in 1979 in Denmark.
Currently I live in Aarhus, the second largest city in Denmark, where I work as a developer at JP/Politikens Hus, developing some of the largest, danish news mediasites. I’ve been working professionally with Internet development for a large part of my life, and have been involved in most aspects of developing, hosting and maintaining small and large web-solutions.
I’m a huge fan of the Getting Things Done methodology, and try to make use of GTD as a tool to manage my life and the projects I’m involved in as much as possible, inorder to keep a clear head on a day to day basis.
Beyond practical development, I’m very interested in the more business-minded parts of IT, with focus on actual company value of solutions.
I’m currently very interested in the new tendencies of Software As A Service (Subscription-based, hosted business apps for instance), and have a strong desire to look more into possible projects in that area in the future.
When I have the sparetime for it (Which is not often), I spend my nights making espresso on my Rancilio Silvia, watching as many movies as I possibly can and spending time with my family.
